European Whirlpool Body Massage

Postby hikerman on Mon May 15, 2006 7:45 am

I saw an ad for European Whirlpool Body Massage. I haven't seen an ad advertising that type of massage before. I have an idea in my mind what it is, but I thought someone on this forum could explain exactly what it is.

my thought is that it is a full hydrotherapy tub that had a wand attachment for performing a water massage. i performed this service at a large resort spa. it is done while the client is in the filled tub. unfortunately, most of the time, the client was nude and you must watch what you're massaging.

It could be exactly what you suggest. Here's what I was thinking. I thought it might be a whirlpool bath followed by a massage, and finishing with a sauna. I really don't have a clue. Any other ideas from anyone?

From what I can tell from a Google search a European Whirlpool is a patent design on a whirlpool pump system. So any spa service using this type of product could be called "European Whirlpool Whatever"

Sounds like the spa got a European Whirlpool tub and will let you sit in it for $$.

most of the time, this was the service booked. the mt controls the jet cycles for the time. very popular was the moor mud bath, when you add the liquid mud to the tub.
most of us preferred the moor mud, which darkens the water so you cannot really see the client. when i did have clear water treatments, i'd get the client into the tub and then really dim the lighting to assist in their privacy.

the hydro tub service was packaged as a 20-25 minute tub only or a 50 minute with a neck, back & shoulder for 25 minutes (+ 5 minutes to get in & out of tub and to a massage room.)
