Looks like we have a few practitioners here on the boards. Some have made posts so you can read a little and see if there is a fit. Hope it helps.

Yeah, I'm a soon-to-be student, unfortunately. (Give me a call in a year or so, LOL ) I'll keep an ear out in regard to therapists in San Fernando (that's around Sherman Oaks/Van Nuys etc, right?). I have a favorite therapist, Irene Ricker, but as far as I know, she's centered more around the San Gabriel Valley (if she's still working as a therapist? I haven't gotten to see her in awhile :() . She used to work at Urban Retreat Day Spa in Arcadia. I believe that if you call them at (626) 447-8225, they might be able to give you a contact number for her (I don't have her number on hand, unfortunately).

Since you're looking for therapists out in that particular area, I'd try giving Bodywork Emporium in Sherman Oaks a call at (818) 990-6155. It's iffy whether you'd get impartial advice from them b/c they offer massage therapy sessions at their Santa Monica location, but I have spoken with a few of the workers there (one of them was the manager Beth, I think) and I got some good impartial advice in regard to schools and training. Maybe they have personal recommendations?

Best of luck in your search, if I come up with any further info I'll post it here :D

edit: I'm just realizing how much I like to use (parentheses) when I (type) long (sentences). (LOL)
