Tipping????

Postby debi65 on Fri Mar 11, 2005 7:00 am

My massage therapist' business is having a fund raising event. For 15 dollars we can get a 15 minute massage. The money raised goes to charity. How do I tip the massage therapist and would this be an appropriate situation to tip? This therapist owns the business and I typically don't tip for regular massages. How much should I tip for a 15 minute session?

Thanks.

I guess my question is more: do I tip the massage therapist (personally) for their time and effort? Since the therapist isn't getting any money should I tip them in addition to paying for my 15 minutes? Make sense?

ok sorry. :) I just wanted to make sure I do the right thing. Sometimes I'm not very good at expressing myself so I wnated to make sure my question was clear!

The therapists goal is not to make money for him/herself, but for the charity. I agree with Pete, most likely any tipping would be given to the charity. How thoughtful of you to be thinking of the therapist though.
