Aromatherapy Homestudy Certification

Postby SalemRose on Sat Dec 10, 2005 6:55 pm

I hope I'm putting this in the right spot, if not, my apologies. I've been poking around looking for info on aromatherapy certification courses. Most likely looking for something I can do from home. Anyone know of or done one?

Steph!

Do Martin Watt's. It's excellent, and contains real information based on real data.

I suggest buying oils from:

Try digging around in our CEU section. Lots of goodies in there. :)

I recently completed a home study aromatherapy program that included 3 dvd's, a workbook and text book. I thought it was a good course and received 40 CEU's for it.

I know this is an old thread, but I stumbled upon this today:

R.J. Buckle Associates, LLC - Aromatherapy Home Study Course

Foundations in Clinical Aromatherapy is a stand-alone course leading to a Certificate in Clinical Aromatherapy. It is much shorter and less in depth than the taught course Clinical Aromatherapy for Health Professionals that awards practitioner status (CCAP).

The home-study course is intended for licensed Health Professionals (LHPs) who want a short introductory course that will enable them to use 15 essential oils. This course has just been radically updated and improved and we are sure you will love it!

The course was designed to give a solid theoretical basis of how to use 15 essential oils clinically. The course complies with the guidelines laid down by NAHA (The National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy). The course leads to a Certificate in Clinical Aromatherapy. 45 Continuing Education Contact Hours for nurses and massage therapists.

‘This home-study course is a good introduction to the subject that draws on as much research as is now available. It will be very helpful to people in our part of the world.’

I met a therapist from Florida who told me the "in-class" certification at Aromahead Institute is excellent. And, I just noticed they offer a Aromatherapy Certification Program Online, if you can't make it to one of their "15 day class, 5 days a month for 3 months - 9:30 am to 5:30 pm".

I think it may be this: http://www.aromamedical.org/education.html

Alos, I have generated a list of distance courses in aromatherapy on my blog, that may also be useful. I tried to put as many as I could find, all into one place for a friend (she told me what she was looking for and I tried to find the ones that fit best). It may be useful for you too.
