Does anyone know of an oil to deter arousal?

Postby Kneadfulthings on Thu Sep 04, 2008 7:30 pm

Fortunatly it doesn't happen too often, but on occasion we get a creepy client, and would love to know if there is an EO that helps to suppress arousal in male clients. Granted, it doesn't change the fact they are in there for the wrong reason, but it would still be a useful tool I believe. I have asked a few Aromatherapy instructors, to no avail. Maybe it doesn't exsit! :irked:

Since aromatherapy works on a subtle healing level, you'd pretty much have to bathe & dunk "creepy" guys who are there for the wrong reason. I know that there are oils that will put a damper on desires but it's too late at night for me to remember which ones they are.

I believe that clary sage is one that might work??

Seriously though......while I do believe in aromatherapy, I don't know if any oil would deter creepy pervs.

Well, clary sage has estrogen-like properties, so that one makes sense.

But I'd rather just say GET OUT.

Why even do a treatment at all?

If this is what the person intends then aromatherapy is NOT the answer.

Chasteberry oil ;-)

Which, btw, is a joke... please do not use this oil with men.

Eau de Baby Vomit?

Eau de Baby Vomit???

Sorry, my lil jab there.

It's hard to turn someone away who is there for a little R&R or even needs the healing touch to deal with pain, discomfort, etc...
The erection factor to my understanding is quite normal and does happen.

But if you're getting the "creepy" vibe from the start, I really don't have any advice!
I've not been there - yet......... gosh I hope it doesn't happen, but if it does I sure hope I've got some ammo.

Maybe a strong 'clinical' smell might deter?
A spritz of diluted bleach or diluted ammonia might do the trick?

I don't know of anyone that finds that 'scent' arousing. But there might be some.

I love the smell of petrol and diesel! Aye - nutter!

Be happy~

Chasteberry has hormonal activity, which may alter the effects of these medications and possibly the dose needed for treatment. Use with caution... These drugs include conjugated estrogens, estradiol, estrone, esterified estrogens, estropipate, ethinyl estradiol, progesterone, medroxyprogesterone, hydroxyprogesterone, norethindrone.

Marjoram, add a few drops to the oil, it has a highly relaxing effect. ;)
