Organic Essential Oils?

Post by Meshell6479 » Fri Feb 08, 2008 11:18 pm

Does anyone know a source for wholesale priced bulk organic essential oils, besides Mountain Rose Herbs?

dunno about bulk, but Young Living makes wonderful therapeutic grade oils. There are different levels to buy at, and each level gives you a better price.

To note:

YL doesn't sell organic oils. Possibly some are, I shouldn't say none are.

I looked into Bon Vital' for you, and they speak about "pure" here, but I think you may do best if you just contact the company.

When you find out, please be sure to come back to let the other good folks on this forum know. We're all in this together!

Also, I located this video on their Naturalé Massage product Line - (nothing about EO's in the short video though).

In addition to knowing if they are certified organic by a third party I would also ask if every batch of essential oil is tested using GC/MS and if I can have a copy of the report for each oil I wanted to purchase.

I contacted Bon Vital but I never gave me any factual information they just told me that the oils were non synthetic, here's the email I received:

McCollow, Bo <[email protected]>

to me
Hello

Our essential oils are not certified Organic. However all of our single note, and blended essential oils are 100% pure essential oil and completely Non Synthetic. I assure you that they are completely safe to mix with professional massage therapy products as well as to apply directly to the skin.

If you have any further questions please let me know.

Best,
Bo McCollow

I came across another website
http://amrita.net/essential-oils.aspx

They are expensive as hell but they seem legit any way I contacted them to see if I could get some factual info.

Reading and understanding a GC/MS report comes with training in essential oil chemistry, a key foundation in aromatherapy certification programs. You might find aromaweb's list on how to buy essential oils helpful.
