qchess wrote:The prices may look expensive, but at Massusie we buy the essential oils wholesale because we are consultants. It's the quality that matters, and these are totally worth it. It's the best quality in oils we've ever found. They have established a Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade. Some of the hospitals here in Michigan are starting to use it too.

I don't doubt it! And I completely agree with the importance of using quality oils. I was going to try Young Living Oils but I don't know of any local distributors and I don't want to become a distributor.

Do you know of any distributors of Doterra product in Delaware or Eastern PA?

DoTerra ( actually dōTERRA ) is pretty new. They are less than a year old and don't have distributors everywhere yet. I would just call or email the Massusie massage office or try to order them for yourself at the iloveoils website. Alot of east coast people are buying from Massusie to save a few buck on shipping.

I'm still new here and can't post web addresses yet.

Someone asked earlier about eucalyptus oils and I like:
Lotus Touch
Aroma Vera
TheraPro

I also wanted to let everyone know I just got some new Keyano Oils and Lotions from MassageWarehouse. Wow the Chocolate one and Champagne & Rose are amazing. I think that site has the eucalyptus oils also.

I don't utilize aroma in my massages at this time...but i do a lot with aroma-remedies in the pediatric realm with my own children and it's spreading to other families that are associated with me. i've pulled DoTerra up in another tab. my main suppliers currently are kobashi, simplers, and eden botanicals. i prefer sweet almond to grapeseed, but both are wonderfully 'light.' i have a friend married to a food allergen scientist that stated the protein that triggers/creates tree nut allergies does not pass through to the oil per lab testing so a standard allergy is not necessarily a concern, but it does not negate the possiblity of a skin reaction so still be wary and patch test.

my top ten used oils (not necessarily in order):
ravensara aromatica
eucalyptus radiata
lavendula angustifolia
melaleuca quinquenervia
melaleuca alternifolia
thymus vulgaris ct linalol
citrus limon
anthemis nobilis
matricaria recutita
pinus sylvestris

These are ones I use frequently:

"Peace & Calming" - underneath the face cradle
"Aroma Seiz" - a great muscle blend
"PanAway" - for acute issues/tissue injuries
Marjoram
Basil
Peppermint
"White Angelica" - for personal aura strengthening and protection, and also for clients with crown chakra issues
Melissa - my new favorite. I'll always remember helping harvest it whenever I smell it.
Balsam Fir - AWESOME, I've been using this frequently.
Frankincense - another oil that I absolutely can't be without!! The energy is amazing!

Pretty much all the Raindrop oils as well, really. I pendle everything to double check its appropriateness for the person and an intake of course, but these are pretty standard. All oils from Young Living. Very excited about the Omani Frankincense coming!!

So I've been enjoying this thread (again) and wondering if some of you use more of certain oils in the summer than in the winter? I'm surprised this never occurred to me before - maybe it doesn't matter? Just wondering

Quality essential oils are not cheap, but for therapeutic use, that is what you need. I have been an aromatherapist for around 20 years, and my company imports oils and I know exactly which farms they are from. We also offer online courses with kits. Browse the site:
