Regarding the board outage

Post by EgoMagickian » Mon Apr 27, 2009 7:50 am

Hi folks,

So I have NO idea what our downtime this weekend was about, but I can tell you it wasn't just our board... nor was it just our account... it was the entire server our board is hosted on.

I do not see how that could be related to our upgrade, so I am taking it as merely coincidental.

I emailed support at our host as soon as I knew about the outage... I never heard back from them. I was prepared to take some emergency measures today if things were not back to normal this morning ;-) Glad to see everything's back up!

In the meantime, I'll work on a better Plan B for us. Our current hosting situation isn't the most tolerable, even if it does work just fine most of the time :-)

Thanks for the update, and glad we are back online! Hope we get to stay that way. :)

Thanks, Josh. That is interesting!! I bet they had a rough weekend - and I'm glad you didn't have to do any major overhauls to get it up again. Coincidence is good, sometimes!

Unplanned server downtime due to a disk error that they had to fix.

Glad it had nothing to do with us! Actually I guess it's a good thing it happened during our planned downtime... everyone was prepared right? :-)

I read quickly and clicked on "Regarding the board OUTRAGE" Imagine my disappointment when I read it was only the server. Where is the outrage?
