Someone I don't know just asked me to post inflammatory info

Post by JasonE » Sat Mar 28, 2009 8:59 pm

Not sure why, but someone I don't know [alacat] PM'd me to post some inflammatory info and web links for them. I don't care about the topic, but I'm not going to do it. I use my real name when posting because I stand behind what I post here.

If anyone else gets a similar message, here is my suggested response:

If you want something posted on these forums, do it yourself.

If you won't do what it takes to meet posting requirements to include urls, you shouldn't ask others to do it for you.

If you want to stir up trouble and/or advance a political/religious agenda, don't ask others to do your dirty work.

Be responsible for what you post.

And I will post the name(s) of anyone else who contacts me about posting stuff for them. :irked: Anyone else similarly contacted is invited to do the same.

Internet forums are like going to the zoo; if you get enough monkeys together, sooner or later someone will start throwing their poo.

What a terribly odd thing to do to someone. I agree with your solution.
