Hi all!
Is it legal for a student in the state of WI to practice massage without a license and get paid for it? What can be done about people practicing in WI without a license in general? Months ago I came across something that said it was up to a $1000 fine per occurrence but I can't seem to find it. Are we ethically or legally required to report these people?
Thanks!

melekalikimaka, I received a letter dated September 23rd of this year that was sent to AMTA-WI members. Anyone who is practicing massage therapy or bodywork therapy without a state license as of December 1st of 2010 is doing so illegally.

http://www.drl.wisconsin.gov/section.as ... 16&locid=0I would think that contacting someone with the AMTA-WI can help you find the exact answer you need...
Hope that helps you out.
