Diaphragm cramp during chair massage?

Postby emma1899 on Tue May 29, 2012 4:54 pm

I've been working on a client for over a year providing chair massage and she informed me recently that every time I apply pressure on her mid back (around T7) on her left side, she gets what feels like a cramp under her rib cage (anterior). I've looked up trigger points and have tentatively ruled that out. She says they aren't painful which is why she never mentioned anything to me before. She asked if I knew what it could be. I have no clue (other than it being a slight tickle?). Any thoughts?
