New Hampshire's new Reflexology licensing board

Postby Dragonflies on Thu May 06, 2010 12:48 pm

Did you know NH has become the third state in the U.S. to have a licensing board for Reflexology? Yep! You can't practice Reflexology in the state of NH without obtaining a license through this new board. Here are some of the basics:

1) the applicant has to be board certified through the American Reflexology Certification Board (i.e. 110 classroom hours, 90 clinical hours, 4 hour board exam).
2) no one can offer Reflexology services in the state without this license, fines will be up to $2,000 for each violation and can range from a misdemeanor to a felony.
3) the applicant cannot practice Face Reflexology under this license.

Here's the full law that was enacted last year, HB-84-N. The board was supposed to be up earlier this spring but I've not heard news that it has officially launched.
