Re: Any experience with Migrane Miracle Cold Stone Therapy?

Everyone will always be different. If I get a massage pre-migraine it does nothing. Feels good while lying there, yes. I have yet to get this treatment when I actually have a headache as I'm the only one in my areas doing it that I know of.

Re: Any experience with Migrane Miracle Cold Stone Therapy?

I took this class and it is a wonderful treatment. It has helped a few clients already. I've not had the chance to do it on someone pre-migraine yet though.

Btw, if someone is about to get a migraine, the teacher suggests no massage work as that will increase blood flow.

Re: PA state licensure

Another question:

We are to display this license yet it has my home address on it! Can I just put a slip of paper over my address? I do not want my clients to have my home address.

Re: PA state licensure

Stupid question but I thought I better check before I order new business cards with my license number on it. We use the 'license number' correct? Not the digitally printed in red number that is up in the one corner. License number starts with MSG??? Just FYI: I has submitted my ap and it didn't get ...

I have 'heard' (so not saying it is true) that some states will allow you to work for a very short period of time? Check out each state licensing board.

Re: Oakworks Seville

Another question for you all with the Seville: Do you have it sitting on a carpeted floor? My office has laminate flooring and I already noticed that it has some scratching some my old table legs. NOt sure how, it apparently is just the one leg that did it. As the Seville is raised or lowered, is th...

Re: Maintaining my NCBTMB certification?

I have decided to downsize all these certifications. Especially now with licensing in effect. I took the NCBTMB exam, passed.... never re-certified because after taking that test, I went on to study Shiatsu and ended up taking the (holy pop I forget what its called!) exam given by the national acupu...

Re: PA state licensure

Has anyone recently sent in their application? I know I put it off way to long but last year was just very busy and my mind wasn't on my business so much. I sent all my stuff in right at the beginning of the year. I am wondering how long it will take to hear something? Is there a way to check the pr...

I saw that credit. Is there a special form to fill out with the IRS?

I remember at the Spa I worked at, the tables had hand controls as well as pedals. I also accidentally step on the pedal at times. lol

Re: Oakworks Seville

Hey Pete and Walt, Do you have just one or two petals to adjust the height? I have one that I leave on the one side of the table, sort of in the middle. But when I order one for my office, I was trying to figure out of it would be worth the extra money to have one say at the head, the other at the f...

Re: Oakworks Seville

Another update. I will be ordering this table for my own office but not with the ABC system. It has to many quirks and I hate having to take so much into consideration while doing work. Between each client I do have to check to make sure to much air didn't release, even if I personally didn't releas...

Re: Spa attire for guests

Any spa I went to would give out robes. And I know you said you want to be able to have a plus size women be able to wear them but maybe you can buy a few larger ones. As a smaller person, it is very uncomfortable to have to wear a huge robe at the spa I go to. I wish they would have smaller ones. J...

I got the table last Friday! And wouldn't you know it, I haven't had a large breasted women yet. :( Haven't been busy with Christmas around the corner, you know? But the table in general is amazing. It is about 2 inches longer then the other, so the cover I was using on the old table doesn't fit. No...

Re: Has anyone ever seen a massage chair like this one?

I have one similar to that. It is being stored at my mom's house. I might have to go get it and take a picture for ya! A friend found it at a yard sale and she used it at the beginning of doing massage. Then I needed something for a gig and used it. It really isn't the ideal chair but it worked. lol...

Re: Towel Draping

I use sheets at my private office. At the office I work at during the day, they supply towels. These towels are large, most can be covered with one towel. I drape the same as when using sheets but it is harder to keep full coverage, depending on the size of the client. My preference will always be s...

Very strange. But she HAD to have a serious underlying condition.

That must have been one deep massage! Such a shame.
