Geez...write your own stuff!

Re: Have you read about this MT in Georgia?

Wow! That's a new one! Her site is back and she lists herself as a CMT.
I know of one MT around here who is licensed in a bordering state and uses that states credential for the state she works in.

Re: Smartphones Apps? For Business, Massage, Clients or Fun

I use Calengoo and have for a while. It works well and will sync to google calendar. There is a month view. It took a bit to get used to but I love it now. I have it on my phone and ipod.

Thanks!

I use the Lavendar scent. It is very nice and not too strong. The new Orange Clove (seasonal) scent is so nice too!

Re: Anniversary Open House?

I just had my open house this past Saturday and wanted to share what I ended up doing. I had some desserts, cheese/grape platter, veggie/dip platter, snacks, water and warm apple cider (since it's getting chilly here) I set up a 10 item raffle and gave tickets to each client as they arrived. I also ...

Thanks for the links! Never seen something like this.

I was thinking too about getting some personalized ice packs or something like that. There is so much out there!

Re: In-home business?

Then there is the issue of my own bias. I want to preface my comments with the disclaimer that I am only thinking of myself when I say them, and that I do not sit in judgement of others. I feel like having a home office is somehow less professional looking than having one elsewhere. I have worked h...

Re: Questions for therapists

One of the major things they can't teach you in massage school is what you will learn as you gain experience. Your hands and your clients will teach you so many things. Confidence will come as you become more comfortable with the many facets of massage. I worked for my massage school right after gra...

Re: In-home business?

I have worked exclusively from my home office for almost 6 years and was working part of the time from home for a few years before that. I am very happy with working from home. I have 2 small kids (1 and 5) and my husband works long days. Being at home helps me keep up with the household stuff and e...

Re: Anniversary Open House?

Thank you everyone! :D I will certainly add in the idea of raffling my services into the mix. I like the idea too of having a local restaurant and florist get involved. I want to have some smaller items printed with my logo to have on hand as favors if I raffle off sweatshirts and large items. That ...

Anniversary Open House?

This November marks my 15th year in massage. I've worked for myself from my home office for 6 years. I FINALLY settled on a business name and logo (I know, took me long enough!) so with all that being said, I am thinking of having an Anniversary Open House sometime this fall. I am starting to brains...

Returnable Sheets

I was in contact recently with a rep from universal companies. The rep emailed me that you can purchase their sheets and if you are not happy with them, return them. I have been trying to find a place where I can check the sheets out prior to using them so I can make sure they aren't like some I had...

I am retiring from my duties as Administrator for BWOL. This has been a long thought-out decision and I leave the board in very good hands. There is now an Admin Team. We have also added to the ranks more Moderators. All who are available to answer questions and help maintain the board. Thank you al...
